"You must make a choice  to take a chance or your life will never change."
Fear of failure. Fear of success. Fear  of change. Fear of Acceptance.

To some level, I hear each of these in  my practice on a weekly basis. But it seems as though the decible level and
occurance of these fears hits an all time high this time of year.  You know, with the whole 'New Year's Resolution' broadcasts that occur.  I'm not against resolutions--when they work.  However research and experience shows that 97% of
people that set resolutions each year fail. Why?

Because it's just words.  True change  happens in an instant.  A moment when a person says 'Enough is enough--
I'm  tired of this flubber. I'm tired of this lack of energy. I'm tired of my inability to keep up with my kids.  NOW is the time to change."--That is where most people stop.  And I'm going to tell you that is why most people fail.  Change doesn't happen with words.  Change occurs when you have a plan and match your actions with your words over an extended amount of time.  As Alan Cohen states: 'Everything begins to change when a person's desire to move on is greater than their desire to hold on.'

YES, it is scary. YES, you will have
to  do some work and YES, it may be painful.  But guess what, just on the other
side  of that fear, sweat and anguish is a new life.  A new YOU.  The world and
your  loved one's are waiting for you to show up bigger and better. But if you
continue to defend who you were yesterday, it will continue to destroy the
  betterment of you tomorrow.
